School of Vice: The Opposition should insist upon a specific time frame or 'deadline' for electoral reform issues as well as the date for re-election/re-voting to be resolved and set by, based upon consultations with independent technical bodies and related civil society groups. Unless such specific demands and goals are met there would be little point in having further discussions or negotiations that would lead no-where except to undermine and derail the democratic spirit and mass momentum for change.
Discussion and dialogue are part and parcel of the democratic process, but this assumes protagonists operate by the same rules of engagement and/ or sincerely intent on resolving public issues raised [as opposed to narrow political party agendas] rather than just signing vaguely worded statements for public propaganda consumption!
